About this course

This nationally accredited unit of competence SITHFAB002 - Provide responsible service of alcohol online training is contextualised for South Australia and is also accepted as recognised RSA training in ACT, Queensland, Northern Territory, Western Australia and Tasmania. 

RSA training is mandatory for licensees and staff selling, offering or serving liquor. This courses has been created as per the South Australian Liquor Licensing Act 1997 and the Commissioner's Codes of Practice. 

  • As well as completing this mandatory RSA training, you may also be required to apply to be a 'Responsible Person' (read more below)
  • Upon successful completion of this course, students will be issued a Statement of Attainment for SITHFAB002 - provide responsible service of alcohol

Responsible Person Approvals - please check with your Licensee/Manager if you need to do this

An individual seeking to be approved as a responsible person must complete the Application for approval of a person form together with a Personal Information Declaration (PID). Both documents must be lodged with the application fee. Details of the current application fee is at The PID will be forwarded by CBS to the Commissioner of Police to conduct checks on whether the applicant is a fit and proper person.

This nationally accredited training satisfies your mandatory training requirements if you are

  • selling or supplying alcohol in the ACT, Queensland, Northern Territory, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania, or
  • applying for a Restricted Approved Manager ID card in Western Australia, or
  • applying for a Responsible Person badge in South Australia

  • Your date of birth and full legal name
  • A personal email address (not a company email)

How to get your certificate

  • Successfully complete the online assessment in your own time
  • Once your course has been marked as competent, you will be able to download the 'Authenticity Declaration' form from your student profile
  • Follow the instructions on this form and have it signed and returned to Hospitality Alliance Training 
  • Once Hospitality Alliance Training has witnessed your signed Authenticy Declaration and received all required forms, you will be emailed an alert letting you know that your Certificate/Statement of Attainment can be downloaded from your student profile

Authenticity Declaration

  • As a Registered Training Organisation, we need to verify that the person who completed the online training and assessment is the same person who enrolled for the course and will be issued with the Statement of Attainment.
  • Once you have completed the online assessment, an Authenticity Declaration Form will be available for you to complete and send to Clubs WA (Trading as Hospitality Alliance Training).
